Biography

Robi Johnson is a multi-genre artist, singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and music educator based in Gresham, Oregon. She works in a variety of styles including indie and folk, pop, musical theatre, country, jazz, and worship.

Robi holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Music Education and a B.A. in Music Industry and Liberal Arts from George Fox University. She runs her own private lesson studio in the Portland area, teaching voice, guitar, piano, and music production.

Her teaching career spans classrooms and community programs across the PDX metro region. Robi has served as a long-term substitute at Centennial High School, leading both the guitar and band programs. She has assistant-directed the Lake Oswego Middle School Jazz Band and directs the jazz ensemble for the East Metro Community Music Association. She also performs in the EMCMA Community Band and regularly plays in musical theatre pits for both Lake Oswego and Centennial High School.

As a performer, Robi has played at venues, bars, and restaurants throughout the Portland and Newberg areas. She has also appeared on stages across the United States including the Willamette Lavender Festival and as a musical guest for The Velodrome’s Kickstands Comedy Show. In Fall 2023, she studied songwriting and production at the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, an experience that shaped her artistic development.

Whether she is onstage, in the studio, or in the classroom, Robi is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired through music.
